“Five Stars for Deep Roots Pest and Wildlife Innovations LLC I live in the Portland Heights area, where the views are unbeatable—and so is the wildlife. My home, like many view properties, is perched on a hillside and built like an urban high-rise on steel girders. That design creates a massive crawl space—three crawl spaces, actually—totaling around 3,000 square feet. About a month ago, I discovered that a family of squirrels had moved in and started building what I can only describe as a small squirrel village. That’s when I called Deep Roots. From the start, they were outstanding—prompt, professional, and incredibly thorough. They walked me through the entire process, clearly explained what to expect, and presented several options. We worked together to find the best solution. This wasn’t a minor job—it involved identifying and sealing more than half a dozen potential entry points. To make things more interesting, they discovered I wasn’t just hosting squirrels—I had multiple wildlife species cohabitating. Apparently, that’s rare. “We had birds nesting in a vent in our home and I found Tim’s name and company on a list of Wildlife Control Operators on the Washington Dept of Fish and Wildlife website. He was able to come over within a week. He and his assistant Andrew were friendly, kind, and professional. They were able to remove the nest, treat the vent for bird mites, and installed protective mesh over that vent and an adjacent one. I’m very happy with their work and I’ll be calling them again for the next pest invasion.”

“I discovered Deep Roots when I had raccoons in my crawlspace. Tim came out and explained what he could do (several other companies had declined to help). I was impressed with how knowledgable Tim was and he was patient while educating me about my unwelcome guests. Within a couple of days the furry family was gone and Tim reinforced two of my vents so this couldn’t happen again. I was extremely pleased with this service. Over the last couple years, I had a persistent ant problem. Tim began treating for ants quarterly and that service continues. Very happy with the results and would look forward to visiting with Tim whenever he returned. Kurtis now does the spraying and is a very nice young man. He is just as thorough as Tim and it’s clear this company chooses their employees wisely. Tim also cleaned my roof and applied moss treatment last year. It looked like I had a brand new roof when he was done. He took pictures so I could see the before and after from above. Impressive. Yesterday Kurtis came by for the ant treatment and I was pleasantly surprised to see Tim was with him. After chatting a bit, I went back in the house and soon heard some pounding. When I looked outside, I saw Tim on a ladder pounding in some loose nails on my gutters. He noticed this while waiting for Kurtis to finish spraying and decided to fix the problem.
